Since 2002, the European Artistic Crafts Days have become the largest international event to promote greater recognition of the crafts sector. Throughout France and in some twenty European countries, craftsmen and women open the doors to their workshops.

 

On this occasion, la Galerie du 19M is opening its doors every day for one week to offer two different tours to the workshops of the resident houses and new activities open to the public.

Lemarié

Founded in 1880, Maison Lemarié is one of the last featherwork and florists in the world. The talent of Maison Lemarié also extends to its unique tailoring workshop that creates smocks, pleats, inlays, and very sophisticated ruffles at the request of the biggest names in fashion.

Atelier Montex has been embroidering since the 1950s, by hand, with Luneville crochet and Cornely machine, for designers and for all the famous names in fashion and Couture. The House constantly seeks out new materials and innovative techniques to express and develop its unique savoir-faire.
